How can we help?
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Pick a topic below.
How long does delivery take?
UK first-class tracked delivery, typically 2-3 working days. Kits ship same day for orders placed before 2pm Mon-Fri.
What's in the kit when it arrives?
Two safety lancets, a sample collection tube, alcohol wipes, plaster, biohazard return bag, freepost return envelope, and a step-by-step instruction card.
Can I order from outside the UK?
We currently only ship within the UK. International expansion is on our roadmap — sign up to our newsletter for updates.
Do you offer subscriptions or bundles?
Quarterly retest bundles are available at a discount — ideal for trend monitoring. See product pages for options.
Can I return an unopened kit?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery if sealed and unused. Return shipping is at your cost. Once opened or activated, hygiene rules mean we can't accept returns.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and Klarna (subject to eligibility).
Is the finger-prick painful?
Most people describe it as a quick pinch, similar to a diabetes-style blood glucose test. The safety lancets are designed for minimal discomfort.
What's the best time of day to take my sample?
For most panels: early morning, fasted (8 hours, water only). For hormone panels, follow the cycle-day guidance in your activation step. Avoid heavy exercise the day before.
Do I need to fast before testing?
For panels measuring cholesterol or glucose: yes, 8-12 hours overnight fasting (water only). For panels not measuring those: not required, but consistency helps trends.
What if I can't get enough blood?
Warm hands under hot water for 2 minutes before, hang your arm down, and milk the finger from base to tip. If you still can't, contact us — we'll send a free replacement kit or recommend a clinic draw.
How do I return my sample?
Place the sealed tube in the biohazard bag, then into the freepost envelope. Post in any Royal Mail postbox the same day you collect. Sample reaches the lab within 24-48 hours.
Can I take my sample at work?
Yes, but we recommend a clean, private space. Allow 15 minutes. You'll need access to a postbox the same day to send your sample on its way.
What if my sample arrives at the lab too late?
Samples have a shelf life. If yours arrives degraded, the lab flags it and we send you a free replacement kit automatically — no questions asked.
How long until I get results?
Plain-English results in your portal within 48 hours of the lab receiving your sample. You'll get an email when ready.
Are results in plain English or doctor-jargon?
Plain English. Every biomarker comes with a one-sentence summary of what it means and what (if anything) to do about it.
Will I get a lifestyle action plan?
Yes. Your portal includes a personalised action plan: nutrition adjustments, training intensity guidance, sleep and recovery tips, all tailored to your specific markers.
Can I share my results with my doctor or trainer?
Yes. Your portal generates a printable PDF, or you can share a secure read-only link directly with your GP, trainer, or coach.
What if a result is flagged abnormal?
Significantly out-of-range results are flagged in your portal with clear guidance on what to do next, including whether to see your GP. We do not replace medical care.
How do I track changes over time?
Your portal shows trend graphs across all tests you've done with us. Order again any time to add a new data point.
Can Vitall Check diagnose conditions?
No. We're a wellness service for tracking biomarkers and informing lifestyle choices. We do not provide medical diagnoses or treatment. If something concerns you, see your GP.
When should I choose a clinic draw over at-home?
If you struggle with the finger-prick method, or for panels needing larger volumes (some hormones and detailed micronutrient profiles). Most kits work fine with capillary.
How much extra does the clinic draw cost?
An additional £40 covers the venue, phlebotomist time, and venous-blood sample handling.
How do I book a clinic appointment?
Select "Clinic draw" on the product page, choose a clinic via postcode lookup, then pick a date and time slot in the cart. We email you a confirmation within 24 hours.
What's a pop-up clinic?
Scheduled one-off or recurring events at gyms, partner venues, or community spaces where you can get a clinic-quality blood draw without travelling to a permanent clinic. See /pages/popup-clinics.
Do I need to bring anything to a clinic appointment?
Your booking confirmation (email or screenshot) and photo ID. The clinic provides all sample collection equipment.
Can I cancel or reschedule a clinic appointment?
Yes, up to 48 hours before via your portal or by emailing us. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the clinic-draw fee.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored on UK-based, GDPR-compliant servers. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Lab data is separated from identifying information.
Will my GP or insurance company see my results?
Only if you choose to share. We never share your data with any third party (including GPs, insurers, employers) without your explicit consent.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Request deletion via your portal settings or email us. We delete all personal data within 30 days, except where law requires retention (e.g. transaction records).
Do you sell my data?
No. Never. Your health data is yours alone. We may use anonymised, aggregated trends for research and product development — opt-in only.
What if I forget my password?
Click "Forgot password" on the login page. We email you a secure reset link valid for 1 hour. For account access issues, contact hello@vitallcheck.co.uk.
